A Eureka recycling center employee was robbed at gunpoint at about 1 p.m. Thursday by two men in a black Chevrolet station wagon, Wayne County Sheriff's Office Capt. George Raecher said.
William Dail, the employee who was robbed, said he had just attended to a customer when a black station wagon pulled up.
The driver, described as a black man in his late 20s with some white skin discoloration around his left eye, possibly a burn mark, told Dail to hand over his money.
The driver then pulled out a shotgun, cocked the hammer back and again asked Dail to hand over his money, Dail said.
Dail added that he turned over his $80 and the two men drove off on South Stan Ray Road.
"I know I took a loss, but at least I've still got my life," Dail said.
The station wagon had no license plates, registration tags or hubcaps, Dail said.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrived on the scene and is currently investigating the robbery.
