A farmer's day program featuring demonstrations of 19th-century life will be held Saturday at the Charles B. Aycock Birthplace between Pikeville and Fremont.
Costumed interpreters will show how people at the time performed various chores. An added attraction will be a performance by the Waterbound Dulcimers musical group.
On display will be the garden maintained by the birthplaces staff that includes many of the varieties of vegetables grown in the 1800s. Attendees also will be able to enjoy a ride in a mule-drawn wagon.
The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m.
