Downtown Jam Thursday

Liquid Pleasure, a renowned show and dance band, will perform at the Center Street Jam on Thursday evening in the parking lot behind the Waynesborough House on Center Street.
The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. It is sponsored throughout the summer by the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corp. Organizers say they expect clear skies by Thursday evening.
Attendees to the free concert are invited to bring their children, their lawn chairs and their dancing shoes, and to come with an appetitie. A number of restaurants will be selling food out of booths and the Elks Lodge will be serving barbecue. Camron's, the event sponsor, will provide chicken wings and another sponsor, Coca Cola, plans to donate all of its proceeds to the Boys & Girls Club.
The next Center Street Jam is scheduled for June 29, 2006 featuring The Mardi Gras Band.
