Tuskegee airman to speak at King event

A member of the famed Tuskegee Airmen will be the featured speaker at a Martin Luther King Jr. celebration Thursday at Wayne Community College.
Wilson V. Eagleson II, a retired Air Force first lieutenant will speak at 1 p.m. in Moffatt Auditorium.
The public is invited.
A Soul Food Festival food-tasting event, will follow in the cafeteria. Cost is $2 per person.
Eagleson was one of the original members of the Tuskegee Airmen, and some of his World War II memorabilia is on display at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. and the Virginia Air and Space Center in Hampton, Va.
He served in the Air Force 30 years and received numerous commendations, including the Distinguished Flying Cross and two Purple Hearts.
