Mount Olive chamber set for banquet January 19

MOUNT OLIVE -- The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual membership banquet at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19 at Southern Wayne Country Club.
The keynote speaker will be Earl Brinkley, who formed Accu-Track Logistics in his home town of Wallace after working as the worldwide logistics director for John Deere Tractor. His firm provides transportation solutions for businesses to ship and receive goods worldwide.
Chamber officials will highlight members, honor the outgoing directors and recognize the incoming directors and officers during the program.
The newly-elected directors are Susan James of Sir Robert's Antiques and Estate Sales, Dwayne McKay of Andy's Cheesesteaks, David Rendall of Mount Olive College, Scott Rose of Prodigy Activewear and Delores Kennedy as the individual member. Mike Rackley of Mt. Olive Pickle Co. will be the 2006 chairman of the executive board, and Stephanie Kornegay of Sleep Inn and Southern Belle will be the chairman-elect.
Directors serve three years, and their terms began on Jan. 1. The new directors will be introduced at the chamber's annual membership banquet. Chamber members and guests are invited and can purchase tickets for $15 at the chamber office, 123 N. Center St., Mount Olive. Call 658-3113 for information.
