69 violations are cited at checkpoint

Officers from the Goldsboro Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff's Office, North Carolina State Highway Patrol and Probation and Parole conducted a checkpoint on U.S. 117 near Mount Olive Friday night as part of the "Booze It & Lose It" campaign.
More than 69 violations were cited, included four driving while impaired, three child passenger safety belt violations, six driving while license revoked, 16 operating without a license, three drug violations, three possessing an open container of an alcoholic beverage, and 34 other motor vehicle and criminal charges.
One juvenile was detained for operating a motor vehicle without a license. It was determined that the juvenile had taken the car without parents' permission.
