Two Goldsboro teenagers have been sentenced in Wayne County Superior Court to prison for the armed robbery of a salesman for an auto parts store.
Octavian Donal Godette, 16, of East Mulberry Street and Derek Demetrius Cumberlander, 18, of Marigold Street were accused of robbing a man who was making a delivery March 12 to an auto repair shop on Royall Avenue.
The employee told Goldsboro police that two black men, one armed with a handgun, snatched his money bag and fled.
Cumberlander was arrested later that day at an apartment on Holly Street and charged with the holdup.
Godette already was in jail on an unrelated robbery when he was indicted again.
Godette was sentenced by Judge Jerry Braswell of Goldsboro to about five to seven years -- 61 to 83 months. Cumberlander was sentenced to 38 to 55 months.
Godette had been sentenced to 11 to 14 months in prison after pleading guilty to common-law robbery in the other case.
