The 11th annual Benefit Tasting of Wines will be held Nov. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Herman Park Center. There will also be a silent auction.
Sponsoring this year's event are HealtHabit and Billie's Backstreet. Proceeds will go to Volunteer Wayne/RSVP.
The goal is $12,000. Through the years, the event has raised more than $87,000 for charities.
Seven wine distributors will donate their newest wines.
Among the silent auction items will be large bottles from Coppola, Hogue, Krug, Banfi and Sterling. There will also be sets of hard-to-find cabernets and older wines as well as bottles signed by winemakers. Of special interest will be a six-bottle set of champagne, rare and hard-to-find pinot noirs from Oregon and a framed poster and artist series reserve cabernet from Kenwood Vineyards.
Billie's will provide foods to complement the wide variety of wines and champagnes that will be available for tasting.
Tickets are $35 and may be purchased in advance at HealtHabit and Billie's. They will also be available the day of the event for $40 per person. For more information, contact the HealtHabit at 751-0300.
