Armed Robbery
Jennifer Mynhier of Cashwell Drive told Goldsboro police that an unknown black male showed a handgun and demanded cash from her early Saturday morning in the parking lot of Bicycle World in the 2200 block of E. Ash Street.
The man, described as approximately 5-foot-6 inches and weighing 160 pounds, took Ms. Mynhier's wallet, which contained $25 cash, credit cards and identification.
Robbery attempt
An employee of T.J. Maxx on Berkeley Boulevard reported that a woman and a child entered the store's dressing room with several items, including a child's Tommy Hilfiger coat with a magnetic tag.
When the woman exited the dressing room, the child was wearing the coat with the tag missing, store employees said. They told Goldsboro Police that the woman attempted to take the coat and three shirts without paying.
Bernice C. McIntosh was charged with larceny by the police.
Wreck
Yu Hsu Meades, 59, of Marion Drive, was charged with failure to reduce speed after Meads' 2001 Nissan rear-ended a 2005 Honda driven by Beverly Fleet Kennedy of Bay Leaf Drive, according to police reports. The vehicles were traveling north on Berkeley Boulevard. Mrs. Kennedy had slowed for traffic when the wreck occurred. Damage to Meads' vehicle was set at $1,500, while damage to Mrs. Kennedy's car was set at $2,500.
Investigations
Wayne County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the following incidents:
*Melissa Dawn Brantley, of Pikeville-Princeton Road, Pikeville, reported items missing from a 1993 Chevrolet Silverado parked at her home. Two rods and reels and a Dewalt DW400 Grinder were reported missing. The items were valued at $180.
*Hugo Santos Hernandez told sheriff's deputies that his car broke down on N.C. 55 while he was headed to work Friday morning. When he returned to the vehicle, he discovered a window broken and items missing. Damage to the window was set at $100. A $180 car stereo and $40 worth of CDs were missing as well.
The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating the following incidents:
*Niyoka S. Lewis of Evans Street reported an unknown person entered her home through a window and stole a RCA CD player, valued at $250.
*Lashanda Sutton of Harris Street reported an unknown person forced open a front door and entered her residence. Reported missing ere $2,250 in jewelry and a silver pistol, valued at $150.
*Adolpha Levell Bassett reported several items missing after an unknown person broke a window and entered his residence on Peachtree Street. Missing were a television, PlayStation system, two jackets, checkbooks and a DVD player. Valued of the stolen items was estimated at $825. Damage to the window was set at $150.
*An unknown person entered a property owned by Eastern Carolina Housing Authority in the 200 block of Johnson Lane. Damage to a back door was set at $200.
*Rebun Hamilton reported an unknown person entered her property on Eason Street, causing $175 in damages to a rear door.
*William Alberto Santo-Domingo reported an unknown person broke a lock and took items from his property on S. William Street. Missing items, including currency, a gold chain, and Citizen men's watch, were valued at $510.
*Elizabeth Lunnie of Hollowell Street reported an unknown person entered her residence through a window and took $50 worth of coins from a jar in her kitchen.
