Investigations
The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating the following crimes:
*Travis Levon James of West Mulberry Street told police he was shot in the leg during an argument around 3 a.m. Saturday while he was on a sidewalk. He said he didn't know the person.
*Police investigated a suspicious car fire Friday at a salvage yard on Vann Street. The owner of the unknown model Chevrolet pick-up truck was listed as William Earl Moore of Peachtree Street. The truck was valued at about $1,000 and was loaded with tires. The owner of the salvage yard, Richard Davis, told police Moore left the truck at the salvage yard Friday morning without permission.
*Melvin Plummer of South Taylor Street told police he was robbed of $60 cash and his $100 bicycle and $100 cell phone on Friday afternoon. He said four black men came off the porch of a house on Vine Street and robbed him at gunpoint in a yard on North Virginia Street. He described the man with the gun as black, about 5-foot-11weighing about 170 pounds. He said the man was dark skinned, of medium build, with braids in his hair and wearing a white shirt.
*Factory Liquidators at 2609 Royall Avenue reported the theft of a money bag from the office on Thursday. The amount of cash, checks and charge receipts in the bag totaled $1,260. The report said the office was unlocked at the time the bag was stolen.
