Volunteer firefighters pour water on a house fire at 104 Scott Circle, off Durham Lake Road. A frayed electric cord to a freezer was believed to have started the Wednesday morning blaze, officials said. No one was injured. Damage was estimated at $60,000 to the home and $75,000 to contents, officials said. The home, owned by Charlie Mitchell, was valued at $75,000 and contents were valued at $75,000. About 20 firefighters from Dudley, Thoroughfare and Mar Mac responded with five trucks and needed about three hours to put out the fire, investigate the cause and finish salvage work.
