Ice cream social
will be Tuesday
What's better in the July heat than ice cream? Free ice cream.
The Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation's annual ice cream social will be Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at Pedestrian Plaza, which is on the corner of Chestnut and South Center streets, in front of the city's police-fire complex.
The public is invited to eat ice cream and enjoy free Coca-Cola products. Hot dogs and icees will be for sale.
Music and karaoke will be provided by Wildhearts DJ service. DGDC has also arranged additional entertainment from C.K. Goodman, owner of the Poetic Shangri-La, and musical entertainment by John Clark.
For the kids, there will also be games, prizes, face painting by Balloons & Clowns, and moon bounce from Grand Rental Station. A water sprinkler will help cool the crowd.
