GREENVILLE -- The Marley Fund's third annual Driving for a Cure golf tournament approaches, and only one team spot remains for the June 23 event at Ironwood.
With a $25 donation, players can participate in a mulligan and raffle as well as qualify for a $20,000 putting contest sponsored by Wal-Mart. If a player makes a 10-, 30- and 50-foot putt consecutively, he wins the money. Other major sponsors of the tournament include Outback Steakhouse, Minges Bottling Group, Coastal Beverage Company, Colonial Mall and Top Dog Academy.
Players will arrive for registration and lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse at 11 a.m. Cold Stone Creamery will also be on hand with ice cream for participants. Drinks will be provided by Minges Bottling Group and Coastal Beverage Co. Each player will also receive a free Marley tote bag filled with gifts from local businesses.
Marley Fund is the only non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of feline leukemia and feline AIDS.
