Crimes

The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating the following crime:

*George King of East Mulberry Street told police Friday night that someone broke the window glass to a shed at his home and took a chain saw, shop vacuum cleaner and sweeper, all valued at $445. The shed was last secured around noon on June 11.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating the following crime:

*Lisa Ann Lewis of Clayton Road, Princeton told investigators someone did about $1,268 worth of vandalism to her 2002 Chevrolet Silverado truck while it was parked at Busco Beach off Bryan Boulevard.

Collisions

Goldsboro police investigated the following traffic reports:

*Shirley Gray Waters of West Boundary Street, LaGrange, was treated and released at Wayne Memorial Hospital and charged with a safe movement violation after the car she was driving was struck by another one Friday on Berkeley Boulevard. She was pulling out of the Captain Bob's Seafood parking lot at 430 N. Berkeley Blvd. in her 2001 Kia and did not see the 1999 Mitsubishi driven by Donna May Lohr of Kinston, police reported. They collided. Damage to both vehicles was $4,000.

*A bicyclist failed to yield the right of way to a pickup truck Friday afternoon on William Street between Eleventh Street and Patetown Road, police reported. Derek Demetrius Cumberlander of Marigold Street was unhurt when his bicycle struck the passenger door to Edward Sean Clay's 2000 Ford pickup. Clay, who lives on of Lancaster Road, Pikeville, was also unhurt, and they both said their vehicles were undamaged.

*Both drivers were charged after a rear-end collision Friday afternoon on Royall Avenue between Jefferson Street and Teakwood Drive. Police said Martin Allen Rose of Candice Drive and Debra Packer Gills of Devereau Street were charged.

Rose was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision. Ms. Gills was charged with driving with a revoked license. Neither driver had to be taken to the hospital. Damage to Rose's 1992 Mercury was $3,500. Damage to Ms. Gills' 1997 GMC was $4,000.
