Wayne businessman to attend national conference

Darius L. Pemberton, the owner and operator of Pemberton Financial Group, has been invited to attend a meeting of the National Republican Congressional Committtee's Business Advisory Council in Washington, D.C.
The council is seeking input from business owners across the country on Social Security, energy costs and immigration, among other issues facing the business community.
Pemberton serves as an honorary chairman of thecouncil, which is a small group of conservative business owners who have joined together to advocate a progressive, conservative pro-business agenda.
As part of his visit to the Capitol, Pemberton will also attend the President's Dinner on June 14, where he will join members of the House of Representatives and the Senate along with other leading members of the Republican Party.
