Correction
Wayne County Sheriff Carey Winders said he was not part of the chase Sunday night that resulted in a wreck and a traffic fatality near Calypso. Winders said Deputy Jayson Hill took part in the chase. Winders said he arrived at the scene after the chase had ended.
