Two Goldsboro men were assaulted Sunday and robbed, Goldsboro police reported.

Kenneth Ray Robinson, 50, told police he was standing in front of his van outside of his home on Courtyard Circle at about 12:55 p.m. Two black men attacked him from behind, stole his handgun from a holster and fled, the report said. Robinson was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital. He could not describe the assailants.

Timothy Earl Darden, 25, of Randall Lane said he was walking in the 2000 block of Central Heights Road at about 11:10 a.m., when a car pulled behind him, three black men jumped out and assaulted him with a lamp post.
