Officials with the Wayne County public schools are banking on their best recruiting tool, the annual teacher job fair, to draw interested educators to the school system.
Teachers are needed at all grade levels and subject areas, officials say, especially special education teachers. Administrators from the school system and all 31 of the county's public schools will be on hand Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Goldsboro High School gymnasium to answer questions and provide information about teaching opportunities in Wayne County.
Booths will be set up throughout the gymnasium, with individual interviews conducted from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. In some cases, candidates might also be offered jobs and contracts that day or be asked to schedule a follow-up interview.
For more information on the job fair or teaching opportunities within the Wayne school system, people may contact the school system's human resources office at 705-6179.
