MOUNT OLIVE -- Seventy-four businesses and seven graduate schools were represented at the annual Mount Olive College Career Fair recently.

Students had the chance to meet employers and other students, practice their interview skills, and discuss job opportunities, summer internships, and co-ops at the half-day event.

"This event is a valuable resource both for our students and for the business community," said Linda Greenwood, the director of the Career Center for the college.

Dianne Riley, the director of alumni relations at MOC, said that a number of alumni attended the event, representing their various companies. In talking with them, she said, she learned that one agency has hired at least a half-dozen of the college's alumni over the past few years.

"It is always great to catch up with our alumni and to share with them the exciting things happening at Mount Olive College," Riley said. "It is also nice that they return each year to share with our current students their job success stories."

"This was a good learning experience for me," said Mount Olive senior Jeremy Jeffers. "I was able to meet many potential employers and find out what they are looking for in their employees. I hope to use this information in future job searches."
