Chase leads
to arrest
A 19-year-old Goldsboro man was arrested today by Goldsboro police after a predawn chase and charged with stealing a 20-year-old car.
Michael Christopher Fields of Third Street was apprehended in the 1800 block of Wayne Memorial Drive. He was accused of stealing a 1985 Toyota Camry from the 1200 block of Clingman Street.
Fields was charged with five felony offenses -- breaking and entering, larceny of a vehicle, larceny, possession of stolen goods and fleeing to elude arrest -- and four misdemeanors -- possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, no operator's license and resisting arrest.
Fields was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $30,000 secured bond.
The car, valued at $1,500, was reported stolen Monday night by Dave Lawrence Person of Goldsboro.
Meth charge
A Duplin County man was arrested Monday by the Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad and charged with possession of a purified form of methamphetamine, also known as ICE.
David Scott Price, 41, of Outlaw's Bridge Road, Albertson, was the first person arrested for possession of ICE in Wayne County. He was apprehended during a traffic stop on North George Street.
Price was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 secured bond.
Wanted
Teachey
Kornegay
Two men are wanted by Wayne County authorities on outstanding felony offenses.
Kelvin Lavone Teachey, 19, is wanted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on felony charges of breaking and entering and larceny.
Teachey was accused of breaking into a home on Arrington Bridge Road in southern Wayne County on Dec. 1, Detective Sgt. Rick Farfour said. His last-known address was East James Street in Mount Olive. He was described as black, 6-feet-2 and 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Teachey's location was asked to call Farfour at 731-1481 or 731-1497 or Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 735-2255. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
Demarlo Kornegay, 18, is wanted by Mount Olive police for felony probation violations and firearm possession charges. He also is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized use of a vehicle and resisting arrest.
Kornegay was described as black, 5-feet-5 and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Kornegay's location was asked to call Mount Olive police at 658-5031 or Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.
Missing
Three people have been reported missing to Goldsboro police.
*Britney Denise Kasey, 13, of 1307 Maple St. was described as black, 4-feet-9 and 120 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. When she was seen last at 8 p.m. Saturday, she was wearing blue jeans and an unknown color shirt.
*Sabrina Marika Brown, 27, of 411-A Daisy St. was described as black, 5-feet-10 and 130 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. When she was seen last at 9 p.m. Friday, she was wearing a black blouse, a blue skirt, brown boots and a black leather coat.
*Mahogany Alatisha Greenfield, 15, of 500 11th St. was described as black, 5-feet-2 and 130 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a light complexion. When she was seen last at 2:30 a.m. Monday, she was wearing a red sweatshirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
Anyone with information on the location of either person was asked to call police at 705-6572.
