Thomas Millisor, the Wayne County Boy Scout district executive, was flown to Duke hospital Tuesday where he is listed in critical condition after a traffic accident on U.S. 70 East near Princeton.
Millisor was traveling east near U.S. 70 Business when his 2000 Taurus collided with a 2002 Ford Escape traveling west. According to the preliminary investigation, both drivers were attempting to make a turn.
The cars hit almost head on, according to State Trooper G.N. Taylor of the Highway Patrol office in Johnston County. The two vehicles collided again, spinning around and went airborne. The passenger in the Escape was taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Taylor said the investigation into the accident is continuing, and he is waiting to speak to Millisor.
Millisor is director of the Torhunta District of the Boy Scouts.
