Goldsboro council to hold hearings

The Goldsboro City Council will hold seven public hearings at its meeting Monday night. The topics to be heard include the following:
*A request from Sidney Barfield to rezone the west side of Wayne Memorial Drive between Best Avenue and Tommy's Road from residential and residential mobile home nonconforming to neighborhood business.
*A request from Carlo cook to rezone the north side of Royall Avenue between Wayne Memorial Drive and Jefferson Avenue from residential to neighborhood business.
*A request from Jackson Builders to rezone the southeast corner of North Berkeley Boulevard and Ridgecrest Drive from residential to general business.
*A request from Coastal Baking Co. for a special use permit to build a new Krispy Kreme Doughnut Store next to the existing shop on Ash Street.
*A request for a special use permit from Moring Auto Sales to operate a used-car lot on the south side of U.S. 70 East between East Ash Street Extension and Millers Chapel Road.
*A request for a special use permit from S&W Concrete to operate a concrete plant on the south side of Central Heights Road between the A&NC Railroad and Central Heights Road.
*A request for a special use permit from Donald Faison to operate a used-car lot on the southwest corner of East Ash Street and Daisy Street.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held on the second floor of City Hall.
