MOC choir to perform
The Mount Olive College Concert Choir will present its annual fall concert on Dec. 3 in Mount Olive.
The performance is free to the public and begins at 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 300 N. Chestnut St., Mount Olive.
The featured work will be George Frederic Handel's Messiah Part II, accompanied by a 15-piece orchestra. In addition to favorites such as "Behold the Lamb of God," and "Lift Up Your Heads, O Ye Gates," Messiah Part II concludes with the famous "Hallelujah Chorus."
The featured soloists will include James Austin of Hubert, Myranda Gulledge of Mount Olive, Chris Hall of Seven Springs, Jenny Houser of Goldsboro and Yolanda Henderson of Snow Hill.

'Nutcracker' tickets
Tickets are available for Artistic Productions' performance of "The Nutcracker" in Kinston.
General admission is $10 per person. Groups of 10 or more can buy tickets for $8 each. Ticket locations include the Artistic Dance Academy, 706 E. Ash St.
Performances are Friday and Saturday, Dec. 10 and 11, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 12, at 3 p.m. at Grainger Performing Arts Center in Kinston. For more information, call 735-7008.
Art deadline extended
The deadline has been extended for artists who want their pieces considered for the N.C. Community College System's 2005 exhibit.
Any current and former Wayne Community College students in curriculum and continuing education classes, graduates or employees may submit printed or digital photos or slides of original art in any medium by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1.
