A Rose of Sharon tree is planted in Dr. Ed Hogan's honor at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Tuesday afternoon. The tree is in recognition of his contributions to his community and to the center. From left, Jean Lee, interim president of 3HC; the Rev. Jerry Mitchell, hospice chaplain; Donna Smith, manager, Kitty Askins Hospice Center; and Dr. Ron Taylor, one of Hogan's friends and the co-producer of "Tuesdays With Morrie," which starred Hogan and raised more than $13,000 for the center.
