Assaults
*At 2:30 Friday afternoon, Kristopher Douglas Battle, 25, of Pine Street said while visiting his girlfriend at McArthur Apartments, he responded to a knock at the door. An unknown male entered and a fight ensued.
The two then went outside, where the male reportedly pointed a gun at Battle and shot him in the lower leg as he ran.
He was treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital and later released.
*Mack Jensey George, 49, Creech Street, told police a man shot at his vehicle after a brief altercation around 10:45 p.m. Friday.
George said he was talking with a friend on the 200 block of Pine Street when a man approached and yelled at him. The man then left, returned with a handgun and when George tried to drive away, shot in the direction of his car.
Police located and detained the man but George decided not to press charges.
*David Perez, 20, Briders Road, Princeton, told sheriff's deputies that he was assaulted by six subjects around midnight Friday during a party at a residence on U.S. 70 West. He said he knew the assailants but was not certain which one struck him in the head with a beer bottle.
Larceny
Goldsboro police are investigating a report of a $900 gas-powered generator taken from the bed of a pick-up truck parked at Lowe's on Berkeley Boulevard Friday afternoon around 3:45 p.m. Ronald Dearing of Meadow Lane reported the theft.
