Tree and turtle programs
Join the park ranger at the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park for a tree-identification hike.
The hike will start Saturday at 2 p.m. Walkers should meet at the park's museum and wear good walking shoes. You may also want to bring insect repellent and water.
Then later that evening the park ranger will lead a program on turtles found in the park. That program begins at 7 at the lake bathhouse.
