4-H to hold craft day

Wayne County 4-H will have a craft day Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wayne Center. It will feature several crafts that youths can make and enter into the county fair.
Crafts include:
*Pottery for ages 12 through 18 for morning or afternoon. Youths will learn the basics of pottery and make some items. They need to take a cover-up shirt. The cost is $10. Dick Heiser will be the instructor.
*Jewelry for ages 9 through 18 for afternoon only. Youths will learn how to make jewelry. The cost is $10. Caroline Finch will be the instructor.
*Breads for ages 11 through 18 for morning only. Youths will learn to mix, knead and bake yeast breads. They need to take an apron. The cost is $5. Elizabeth Fry will be the instructor.
*Stained glass for ages 9 through 18 for afternoon only. Youths will make a faux stained picture. They need to take scissors. The cost is $7. Paula Pruden-Macha will be the instructor.
*Painting for ages 9 through 18 for morning only. Youths will learn the basics of painting and all about paints. They need to take a cover-up shirt. The cost is $5. Lisa Coone will be the instructor.
*Ceramics for ages 9 through 18 for afternoon only. Youths will choose from animal ceramics to paint. They need to take a cover-up shirt. The cost is $5. Donna Phipps will be the instructor.
*Beading for ages 9 through 18. Youths will make animals from beads. Vivian Rowe and Cindy Wheaton will be the instructors.
*Flower arranging for ages 9 through 18 for morning only. Youths will learn how to arrange flowers and care for them. They need to take a container such as a cup or other small container. The cost is $5. Rachel Rawls will be the instructor.
Hot dogs will be provided for lunch.
