Habitat house dedicated

Habitat for Humanity has held its seventh dedication ceremony since being organized in November of 2001.
The ceremony was Sunday at the new home of Alba Moradel at 102 Winslow Place. This house was co-sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Wayne County and the Goldsboro-Wayne Association of Realtors.
Beth Parrish, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne welcomed the group and thanked them for coming.
Dawn Summerlin, the executive officer of the Home Builders Association and Oscar Hines, the immediate past president of the Board of Realtors, both discussed their sponsorship of the house. The dedication was conducted by Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr., pastor of First Baptist Church of Goldsboro.
Maria Rodriquez, a Habitat homeowner, presented the keys for the new home to Ms. Moradel. Bill Edgerton, president of the local Habitat affiliate, presented Ms. Moradel with a new Bible.
Ms. Moradel, with tears in her eyes, thanked everyone for making her dream come true.ceremony.
