Morning fire

An early-morning fire today damaged a two-story brick house at 404 Southwood Drive off Sandhill Drive in the Mar Mac area. Volunteer firemen from Mar Mac, Thoroughfare and Grantham departments fought the fire, which started shortly after 5 a.m. Sheriff's deputies were on the scene and the SBI was called in to investigate.
