The Girl Scout Council of Coastal Carolina honored all Girl Scout troop leaders on Thursday, which was Girl Scout Leader Appreciation Day, for their outstanding dedication and commitment to over 8,500 Girl Scouts in the Council's 25 counties.
Troop leaders are the lifeblood of Girl Scouting, says Deborah Brady, communications and product sales director.
Leader Appreciation Day, which has been celebrated for the past 22 years, honors nationwide nearly one million men and women who teach, mentor and listen to girls throughout the year.
