The young and young-at-heart will want to come to downtown Goldsboro's annual De-Rail-A-Bration celebration on Saturday.
There will be lots of things on South Center Street to keep you busy and entertained. There will be rides, games, food, vendors, entertainment, a road race and more.
The Kiwanis Club's annual Greater Goldsboro Road Run is scheduled to take off at the Pedestrian Plaza at 8:30 a.m. to start the day's activities.
The children's fun run will begin at 9:30, and the De-Rail-A-Bration activities will kick off at 10, lasting until 5 p.m.
The N.C. Community Clowns will be on hand to entertain. Children's rides include The Scrambler, The Slide, a train, a bouncer, a children's roller coaster and swings.
There will also be rides for teen-agers, including The Tempest and The Swinger Swinger.
Those attending can also test their skills at some of the many games. And children can pet the barnyard critters in the petting zoo.
You'll also want to be sure to see Goldsboro Councilman Chuck Allen getting all wet in the dunking booth at 1 p.m. and County Commissioners Chairman Ken Gerrard at 1:30 p.m.
