The Goldsboro City Council voted unanimously Monday to condemn a house and a storage building.
The house, at 722 Longleaf Ave., was originally inspected last June and found to be beyond repair by the city inspection department.
The storage building, at 1717 Harrell St., had already caved in at several places.
In other matters the council:
*Held a public hearing on a request from Darrell Ham to rezone the west side of Wayne Memorial Drive between Lockhaven Drive and Eleventh Street from General Business and Office and Institutional to Shopping Center.
*Held a public hearing on a request from Ada K. Melvin to rezone the north side of Hooks River Road between Elton Drive and U.S. Highway 117 Bypass from R-12 residential, I-5 General Industry and Watershed Protection to Office and Institutional and Watershed Protection.
*Approved closing Sunset Lane, which runs from the west side of Granville Drive in Spring Garden Subdivision, in a westerly direction.
