Break-ins
Two people are being sought by Wayne County Sheriff's officers and four others have been arrested in connection with one business and two residential break-ins.
Sought on felony charges of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods are Shirley Diane Johnson, 46, of Central Heights Road and Mary Paige Taylor, 44, of Third Street.
Anyone with information on the location of either woman was asked to call Sheriff's Detective Sgts. Shawn Harris or Ray Brogden at 731-1480 or Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 735-2255. Callers may remain anonymous, and they may be eligible for cash rewards.
The four people arrested were:
*Mary Patricia Moody, 32, of Central Heights Road was charged with two felony counts each of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods and forging checks. She was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 secured bond.
*Angela McNaught Robinson, 36, of Third Street was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods. She was jailed in lieu of a $3,700 secured bond.
*David Earl Robinson, 30, of Third Street was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods and check forgery. His secured bond was set at $3,500.
*Joseph Bryant Warrick, 36, of Wilson Street was charged with two felony counts each of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was jailed in lieu of a $50,000 secured bond.
School thefts
Seven vehicles that were driven by students were broken into Monday at Eastern Wayne High School. Compact disc players were stolen from five, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported.
Damages were estimated at $1,150 to windows and door locks.
The thief stole a compact disc player, CDs and a radar detector, valued at $420, from Megan Nicole Bright of North Beston Road, LaGrange; a CD player and a charger, valued at $215, from Caroline Nada Clarkson of Southern Pine Road; a CD player, valued at $400, from Brittany Leigh Vinson of Poplar Ridge Drive; a CD player and an amplifier, valued at $600, from Lance Garrett Ramsey of East Raintree Lane; a CD player, valued at $300, from Brian Jermaine Sutton of Bayleaf Drive, and a wallet, valued at $30, and personal papers from Melissa Carol Ansems of Big Daddy's Road, Pikeville.
Nothing was stolen from the seventh car, driven by Corey Jake Goad of U.S. 13 North, but it was damaged.
Two hurt in wrecks
Two people were injured in four recent traffic collisions in Wayne County, officers reported.
*A driver was injured in a collision at 3:35 p.m. Monday at Wayne Memorial Drive and the entrance to Wayne Community College, Goldsboro police said. Angela Nicole Harris, 31, of Elm City was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital. Ms. Harris, who was leaving the college, was charged with a stoplight violation. The other driver was identified as Liegh Anne Boykin, 24, of Wilson. Damages were set at $1,900.
*Damages were estimated at $5,500 at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 117 North near Duck Pond Lane, the Highway Patrol said. Melesio Cortes Munos, 27, of Bentwood Drive, Fremont, was charged with driving left of center and driving while impaired. The other driver was Sandra S. Morris, 41, of Zebulon.
*A passenger from Clinton was injured at 4 p.m. Friday on U.S. 13 near Central Heights Road, the Highway Patrol said. Crystal Spell, 24, was released after emergency-room treatment. Her driver, Tony Lee Spell, 48, of Clinton, was starting a left turn, troopers said, as the other driver who was operating a tractor-trailer, Thomas Lee Coltraine Jr., 40, of Cove City, was starting to pass him. No charges were filed. Damages were fixed at $3,000.
*Damages were estimated at $4,900 in a three-vehicle wreck at 7:20 p.m. Thursday at U.S. 117 and O'Berry Road, the Highway Patrol said. Brian Joseph Trauth, 20, of New Orleans, was charged with a yield violation. The other drivers were identified as Margaret M. Leonard, 18, of Myrtle Road and Anita Louise Sampson, 42, of Hopesway Drive, Dudley.
Cigarettes stolen
A cash register, cigars and cigarettes were stolen Monday night after a door was damaged at Queens Mini Mart at 201 S. Slocumb St., a Goldsboro police report said.
Police, responding to a burglar alarm, found the register and the cigars within minutes under an abandoned house. The value and the amount of cigarettes stolen had not been determined.
Police also are investigating these reports:
*About 30 compact discs were stolen after a door glass was smashed at a home in the 1300 block of East Mulberry Street. The resident, Jason D. Grace, estimated the value of the CDs at $600.
*A white handbag with personal papers was stolen Monday after a car window was smashed in the Pinewood Square parking lot in the 1000 block of North Spence Avenue. The owner, Meegan Ackerman of Kinston, set damage at $250.
Missing
A 16-year-old Goldsboro boy was reported missing Monday to Goldsboro police. Anthony Moye Barnes of 607 S. Claiborne St. was described as black, 5-feet-5 and 150 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion.
Barnes was seen last at 4:30 a.m. Saturday. A clothing description was not available. Anyone with information on his location was asked to call police at 736-4933.
