Debbie Phillips has been appointed director of health services at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Her duties include the management of units on second floor east and west in addition to the sixth and seventh floors.
Mrs. Phillips has been an employee of the hospital since 1977, serving in both staff and management roles within the in-patient surgical areas.
She holds degrees from Wayne Community College and Saint Joseph's College and will complete her master's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May.
"I know this appointment will support continuity in the care of our adult health population and that Debbie will continue to manage with a strong commitment to patient safety, performance improvement and quality service," said Debra Hernandez, vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer.
