James Sprunt classes

KENANSVILLE -- The Continuing Education Department at James Sprunt Community College has announced the following classes:
*Two step aerobic classes are being offered at Wallace Rose Hill High School, either Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. or Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 10 p.m.
*A training class for those wishing to apply for a permit to carry a concealed weapon will begin Feb. 17 and meet on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 21, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
*A 16-hour class on self-defense for women starts March 9 and will meet Tuesday and Wednesday from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
*A 24-hour course on "The Joy of Painting" begins March 1. No prior painting experience is needed. The course will meet on Monday evenings from 6-9 p.m. for eight weeks and there is a charge for materials.
*An 18-hour course in beginners one-stroke painting starts March 16 and will meet on subsequent Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m. Painting kits may be purchased directly from the instructor.
*On Saturday, March 20, an 8-hour tanning bed operator training course begins and will meet from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on the main campus. The class satisfies the N.C. Legislative requirement needed for an operator.
