Ice caution: Weather concerns prompt reminder about safety
It is easy to consider yourself invincible -- able to leap icy roads at a single bound.
But the news that a storm might be coming this way is a good time for a reminder.
When officials suggest that the smart thing to do is to stay home -- especially if you have the kind of job that allows you to do that -- it is a warning worth heeding.
And if you have to go out on the roads tomorrow, it is wise to remember that a lot of caution is a must to keep yourself and those you encounter on the road safe.
All of us have been there -- in front of a cowboy on the roadway who seems to believe that he or she has the one set of brakes that can manage to stop on ice -- and it is scary.
Take it easy tomorrow -- and report anyone who isn't operating with caution.
That way we will all get home safely.
